What is the wildlife like in Japan?

You never hear about what kind of animals live in Japan, and I find myself ever so curious!What is the wildlife like in Japan?
In Japan, there are Tokay Geckos which are blue and pinkish, we have Japanese quail, which are cute and small, of course the different types of crane, and a whole bunch of birds, and Japanese Macaques which live high in mountains, Japanese Dwarf Flying Squirrels, and Japanese Giant Flying Squirrels.
