What careers involve conservation of the coast & it's wildlife?

i am in school pursuing my bachelor's degree in biology and then am thinking about getting a master's in marine biology. Unfortunately, I don't want to do the whole traveling, writing research papers, and being gone for long periods of time like most marine biologists do. The career I would like to have is working for an organization that deals with the conservation of a specific stretch of coastline and it's animal inhabitants. Any suggestions on how to reach that goal? What careers involve conservation of the coast %26amp; it's wildlife?
That sounds like a great idea :) Maybe you could look into working with nature centers in the area you want to work in. That would give you a stable location to work, rather than moving around. Those kinds of jobs involve you with the community, and allow you to teach the public about what kinds of organisms live in the area.

You could also become employed with organizations, such as the DEC, and work on specific research projects.

P.S- My college, SUNY ESF, has a Conservation Biology program, maybe you should look into it :)What careers involve conservation of the coast %26amp; it's wildlife?
You could be a park ranger.
i'm looking for the same exact thing!
