As Mr. A said it will be fine with the right lens. Wildlife photographers use long fast telephoto lenses. They use the same lenses that sports photographers use. You know the huge white lenses you see on the side of the football field. Not all of them are white but you probably know what I mean. These lenses cost thousands of dollars though.
For normal people a 70-300mm lens would be a good choice. They are not terribly fast or good in low light but they will give you a good amount of reach. Is the Nikon D60 a good camera for wildlife photography?
Any Nikon is good for wildlife photography as long as you can afford a lens off this page.
