one is the red tide, and from oil spills gas, and poeple throwning trash into the water gas from poeple boats .water skies, then you have mercury that comes in to sailt and frash waters,, mostly from mankind that dose most of the work..!What are some ways that marine wildlife is threatened, especially in the New England and Massachusetts area?
The influx of toxic materials and chemicals into the sea from plants and manufacturing industries is a great threat to marine life. So are oil spill and wastes disposed from water transports. What are some ways that marine wildlife is threatened, especially in the New England and Massachusetts area?
Pesticide runoff from surrounding farmland, trash laying around on beaches gets swept away from the tide and animals can choke themselves (especially on those plastic 6 pack rings you find around soda cans), Oil spills and then there's the everlasting threat of Global Warming which has increased the ocean temperatures. Those are just some of the biggest threats to ocean and marine life.
