Ancient pagan religions, Native American religions, and...I think that's it. They beleive anything from the earth is sacred/godly.What religions believe that an animal's life (pets, livestock, wildlife) are as precious as a human's life?
Buddhism, Hinduism, the native americans dont make animals equal to humans they respect the spirit of the animal.they honor the animals. the bible says that man has dominion over the animals but also says that the animals yearn and wait patiently for Gods return. i dont believe anything is more precious than human life. some people do make animals as precious and some even more, i disagree with this. we are to respect all living creatures but i dont believe an animal should ever be as important or more than humans. all animals go to heaven not all people will.What religions believe that an animal's life (pets, livestock, wildlife) are as precious as a human's life?
The Eastern religions - Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism - recognise non-humans as sentient beings. The first of the Five, Eight and Ten Precepts is to refrain from taking life (meaning human and non-human).
i know of only one religion that holds that all lives are precious. jainism... from wikipedia, '; Because all living beings possess a soul, great care and awareness is essential in one's actions in the incarnate world. Jainism emphasizes the equality of all life, advocating harmlessness towards all, whether these be creatures great or small. This policy extends even to microscopic organisms.';
Pagan (and many of the beliefs that fall under the umbrella term of Paganism), Wiccan, Jian(not sure if I spelled that right)and those that follow the Buddhist philosophy.
I'm sure there are many others, but I can't think of them right now.
Hinduism for certain animals (e.g. cows), because of they are believed to have been people in the past, not just because they are animals. Jainism believes in not killing animals and even plants if possible
Jainism, hinduism, and buddhism i believe.
Hinduism and Buddhism, I think.
