Importance of forests and wildlife and conserving them?

i have to make a geography project on the topic.

and the article have to be from newspapers or magazinesImportance of forests and wildlife and conserving them?
Do you know what will or would happen if we humans killed off all the plant life and animals on our planet Earth? We too would go extinct because where would the oxygen we breathe come from, food.

This topic has to do with ecology, environment, bioscience.

I don't think of it as being geography. Geography has to do with places, economics, astronomy.

The topic is also potentially very controversial, so be sure to go after primary sources wherever practical, such as highly credentialed science magazines.

Global Warming and Climate Change, in my opinion, are natural events that would occur even if man were extinct, that we do have an impact, but not as significant as some people would have you believe, but our impact is not zero. Thus, it is critical that you take care who you quote.

Aside from the issue of OUR survival as a species, by not messing up our planet Earth, there are also issues of economics and quality of life.

Economics ... there are some nations that once upon a time were net exporters of lumber. They cut down all their forests to make farmland, and now they are net importers of lumber. So there is the question of the economic uses to which we put the plant life and animal life of our planet, and what it can do to our economy if we mess that up.

The fact that there are wildfires all over the place, and that many of them are man made ... that's not very controversial, so it would be Ok to use newspaper stories to show this is happening.

Why it is so difficult to put out the fires is another issue ... you need to get familiar with forestry policies.

One of the reasons why hurricanes have done a lot of damage in recent years is because we have drained wet lands in coastal regions. Wet lands served a function of absorbing a lot of hurricane force, but we have removed that, with expensive consequences. There's a trade off there ... when weather fine, we get to use more territory. When weather bad, it does more damage.Importance of forests and wildlife and conserving them?

It is not a simple matter to give in small space like this. If you really requires for your project I can give you a project report of ';Protected and Managed Forests'; for you. You can contact me glnrusimhaprasad@who.net.
