Can you earn a living being a wildlife rehabilitator? ?

I'm a senior in high school trying to decide what sort of animal-related career I could get into and I was looking more towards hands-on involvement. Wildlife rehabilitation sounds great to get into! But I also need to earn a living.

Are wildlife rehabilitators paid or is it only volunteer?

Thanks! Can you earn a living being a wildlife rehabilitator? ?
It's not a great way to make money, but it is a great way to write off expenses on your taxes as a not for profit organization using your own home, proprty, and resources. It would bebest to have another source of income while operating a small center until public donation drives and private funding can be obtained. Can you earn a living being a wildlife rehabilitator? ?
Yes, they are paid, but not too much. If you want to go into rehabilitation, I would suggest getting a vetrinary liscence, establishing yourself as a vet, then working with rehabilitators, especially with wild birds and mammals.
Probably not a great deal of money in the field...but the reward is great.
