No if you are talking about adopting one to take home. Not in a million years. You can sponsor one at a zoo.

If you want to rehab bats. Sign up with a Nature Center that dose Wildlife Rehabilitation. Go thru their training and rehab bats thru the nature center.

It is very rewarding.
Bats are pretty cool! I know I enjoy watching them swoop around catching the bugs in the early evening. TV is why most people don't like them. I have never been attacked by one they are just out to catch as many bugs as they can before daytime. but anyway. I don't believe there is such a thing as adopting them? unless your gonna keep them captive and that really wouldn't help there population. but you can build bat houses and hang them in your yard! that will attract them and keep them around
maybe go to strange pets for sale
Yes! Try this link:

look under featured programs and click on ';adopt a bat';
Put up a bat house..
We took our girls to Carlsbad Caverns the year before last and at the sunset bat flight program they sold Adopt-A-Bat packets. You get a certificate and some info about bats and how to help them out with bat houses, etc. We all adopted one and gave extra for research. We have a bat cave not too far from our house and in the evening we sit out in the backyard and watch them flying overhead. I too like bats. If you can ever get to New Mexico, I highly recommend the evening bat flight program. When you enter the amphitheater, sit as far to the upper left as you can. You can see them coming up the cave entrance in a circular pattern. The smell hits you before you can see them. Very cool!
